The China Expedition. Autumn 2026

The month that divides your life into "before" and "after"

This is neither an ordinary tour of the East nor a wellness retreat promising a quick spiritual reset. This is a month of raw, immersive practice at its birthplace, guided by masters who have walked this path themselves.

Spending a month in the Wudang Mountains and Yunnan province teaches you more about yourself than years of routine life ever could. Some return with a fully restored body and real combat skills. Others find the razor-sharp mental clarity they had been searching for all along. Many find a lifelong circle of peers. Most often, you get it all.

Below are three reasons people join this journey. Find yours.

Why People Join Us

To reclaim physical power and true martial skills

Is your body starting to give out? Are you dealing with joint pain, back issues, poor sleep, or chronic exhaustion? Or perhaps the practice you currently do has devolved into a soft, overly gentle health routine? This month demands real, raw effort from your body.

Tai Chi and Qigong reconstruct your biomechanics and breathing from the ground up. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and applied martial arts bring the practice back to earth—where a technique either works or it doesn’t. This isn't about memorizing forms for the sake of looking good or doing a couple of gym sessions. After a month, you will move differently and know exactly what your body is capable of.

To find a new vector alongside true masters

Life often brings us to major transition points: a divorce, selling a business, severe burnout, or relocating to a new country. Or sometimes, it's a persistent feeling that "everything is fine, but I don't know what it's all for." In either case, you don’t need another online course; you need a living guide.

Here, the work is strictly personal. You will be practicing alongside people who transitioned through their own turning points and took monastic vows in Wudang. You won't return home with just a temporary two-week burst of energy, but with a clear vision of where to go and the internal strength to maintain it.

To build your true circle

The most powerful networking is the one that never calls itself networking.

Imagine twenty to thirty people, each dedicating a month of their life and significant financial resources to be right here. That kind of filter cannot be faked. A month of shared practice, drinking tea, experiencing silence, and trekking mountain roads brings people closer than years of corporate meetings. The bond begins forming in the group chat long before the flight. You won't return home with business cards; you'll return with your people.

The Three Pillars of the Program

The program stands on three equal pillars, developing the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

  • Martial Arts: Daily practice of Tai Chi, Qigong, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and applied combat disciplines. Authentic martial arts, not just light gymnastics. Focus on biomechanics, breathing, and a rigorous daily routine.
  • One-on-One Work with Masters: Direct, unfiltered contact with your instructors. You won't get lost in a crowd. Over the month, the masters will get to know you personally and guide you toward your specific goals.
  • Philosophy in Plain English: Exploring the nature of consciousness and the Daoist tradition without esoteric fluff or jargon for the sake of jargon. This is paired with daily practice: meditation and breath/attention control that you can seamlessly integrate into your life back home.

What We Mean by "Guiding Everyone to a Result"

This is the fundamental difference between this expedition and any standard tour or retreat.

Before the trip, we will get on a call to clearly define what you need to get out of this month. Throughout the entire journey, the masters keep your specific goals in mind and help you move toward them. At the end, we sit down and look at the facts: what has shifted, and what are you taking home?

You are not paying for a checklist of tourist activities. You are investing in a concrete, personal result—and we make sure you reach it.

The Route

Fewer locations, more time in each. Depth matters more than checking off tourist spots.

  • Wudang Mountains: The cradle of Daoism and the heart of our route. This is where the practice reconnects with its original meaning.
  • Yunnan: The gateway to Tibet. We will spend the majority of our time in Shangri-La and Lijiang.
  • Beijing: Our entry point and a stark contrast—ancient traditions and modern China existing side-by-side.

Tea ceremonies, the game of Go (Weiqi), and traditional Jian sword training. Meetings with reclusive hermit masters—woven naturally into the journey, not treated as a tourist attraction.

Your Guides

The group is accompanied by three masters, each responsible for a specific pillar of the program.

  • Yura and Slava: Twin brothers with over 30 years of experience practicing Daoist and Chinese martial arts, including Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong, and traditional weapons, combined with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. They took monastic vows in the Wudang Mountains. They are not instructors in the typical sense; they are lineage holders and true masters. Their twin synchronicity offers something completely unique—the visible, wordless balance of Yin and Yang.
  • Hant: Travels with the group and leads the philosophical and practical aspects. He decodes the nature of consciousness and Daoist traditions into modern language, guiding meditation and attention training. With him, theory stops being a lecture and becomes a tangible experience you can live through and carry home.
